Final costume image

The piece represents a conceptual costume design for Dio/Louise – god incarnated into female body.
It has been carefully composed from materials that express the character’s struggle between god and man .The porcelain sleeve is beautiful but fragile, like the shell of a person Louise has become. Attached is a moving piano hammer, Dio, the sharpened end glides effortlessly with her as she moves, but is also digging onto her flesh. The hammer’s head strikes directly over Louise’s pulse, showing Dio’s manipulation over her body and mind. The piece focuses on the contrast of juxtaposed materials. Their dual qualities create tension between the porcelain shell and the mechanism that delicately but gradually destroys it.
